My 67 years old mother who has severe sleep apnea just had a lung biopsy today in morning at 11 am.. A camera was put in her nose and sample was collected.. after coming home she is coughing a little and there is some blood seen in her cough.. and pain in throat.. But I was told it's normal.. My only question is that should she use her sleep apnea machine tonight also? She uses it every night.. please reply.. please reply tonight itself 🙏

Hi. A single episode of haemoptysis or some blood stained sputum is normal after a lung biopsy. CPAP with not too high PAP is ok to use. But if its avoided and that does not defer her condition too much then please avoid for tonight. Tomorrow onwards it may be used sa usual
