Bilirubin level of a baby may rise from second day of life. This is known as physiological jaundice. Different other parameters are taken into account to know if any  intervention is required. These are; Baby blood group/ mother's blood group G6pd level Gestation Birth weight Any complication at birth. You must also visit a Paediatrician for clinical evaluation of child for proper guidance.
