If you were symptom free it won't be considered a gap. Although risk benefit is considered so if you had side effects on fluoxetine then it was needed to changed it to escitalopram. Although again fluoxetine was started and on a higher dose. That means the itching was not because of fluoxetine. It might delay your recovery but OCD has a waxing and waning course by itself also so if you didn't have any symptoms during the escitalopram phase. It won't really affect your recovery.
