Sir,Is Zirconia can be use as cavity filling for upper Molar teeth.Or I should go with traditional Silver amalgams. please suggest the best option for durability.

Zirconia is a type of cap used for broken teet .For filling gic or composite is better option.

Zirconia is a kind of cap used in more aesthetic area, it can't be used as filling material. These days traditional amalgam fillings are not advisable because of silver toxicity. From where did u find or who told u that zirconia is used as filling material? It’s a crown (cap) .. u can go for composite or gic for filling

Hello... For fillings, composite is a better option compared to amalgam ( mercury in amalgam has health hazards ) Zirconia is not used in fillings .
