BERA test of my 2 years 2 months old son shows moderate to severe auditory pathway dysfunction with a threshold of 85 dB in left ear and mild auditory pathway dysfunction with a threshold of 40 dB in right ear. The ENT doctor is suggesting Cochlear Implant for best result and also advised us to take him for rehabilitation. But at this very young age can he go for Cochlear Implant? Also, if I go for that then can my son deal a life like other children with normal learning abilities?

According the BERA reports your son has got significant hearing loss on left side and mild hearing disability on right side. For left side cochlear implant is the best option and needs to be done at the earliest. You can try hearing aids on the opposite side so that he gets sound stimulus before cochlear implantation is done on left side.
