Bells Palsy Treatment
Hello
I am having numbness on left side of my face since 1 week.
I am unable to move my left side of face, closing eye lids is slower and have tears in eyes often.
I am abroad , have consulted with neurologist doctor. He ruled out brain related cause by MRI.
I am not confident with treatment here, as its been week and there are no sign of improvement.
Please guide me what could be the best treatment strategy for Bells palsy. Which specialist should I consult?

Sounds like Bell's palsy.Combination treatment of corticosteroid and antiviral medicine will help in the recovery if started within 72 hours from the onset of weakness.Apply artificial tears drops a few times a day to prevent dryness of the affected eyes.Recovery varies from weeks to months ,physiotherapy may be needed..Neurologist consultation is definitely recommended.
