I'm having a very bad backache since a few days. I don't know the reason for it. But its very painful. I cant stand or sit straight for more than a few seconds. It hurts a lot. Is it something serious? Should i visit a doctor or just apply some creams like move and let it heal on its own?

Hello. There are many couses of backache. It could be normal muscle pull, postural pain, pain due to heavy weight lifting or pain due to incorrect sitting pattern. U didn't mentioned your age and other identifications. You should do hot water fermentation on affected area or heating by heating belt. In many of the back pain cases complete rest is the perfect remedy. After doing heat just apply any pain relief ointment on pain area and do rest. The main couses which can increase your pain are incorrect pastures prolonged standing or sitting. If you are a office going patient than you have to take rest from work in between. Change your position or try to walk little bit in prolonge sitting. In kitchen put a leg rest below your leg while working on platform of kitchen. Rest your leg one by one on leg rest (patla/choki) The main things which you have to avoid is heavy weight lifting ,standing too long , floor sitting ,squatting.
