Hello. You don’t need to give Syp Maxtra(Chlorpheniramine) to your child. Please refrain from cough medications for your child. Instead use saline nasal drops 2 drops b/l nostril 6 hourly for the nasal blockage and provide steam inhalation thrice daily.
Next Steps
Keep the surroundings clean and humidified.
Health Tips
Cough is a general response, you dont need to suppress it. Humidifying the lining is much important. Hope this helps. Wish your child a speedy recovery.

Maxtra syrup can be given if cough is dry .The cough is mostly due to nose block if it occurs even while sleeping . Try and get that sorted . Anti allergics will also help if it’s an allergic cough.
Next Steps
Humidity in the room will help .
Health Tips
Weight is good . Nothing to be done there
