Hi, Weaning should start at the 6 months of age, at that time complementary food should be introduced to baby, along with breast feeding. Honey, sugar, salt, cow's milk can be given to infant, but it will be best to avoid package or processed food. Home made food is best option and baby also get  acquaintance with family food habits. You can give cow's milk but wheather whole milk she/ he can digest or not need to check.
