hello
from the Test tesult your B 12 level is normal at this time 300 ( 200- 600 pg/ ml, normal range).
you need 1- 3 micrograms of cobalamin a day, vegies and fruits are free from cobalamin but you get from meat sources or dairy products( milk or cheese).
body stores of cobalamin are of the order of 2- 3mg, sufficient for 3- 4 yrs if supplies are completely cut off.
I suppose you drink milk in your tea or seperatly, unless you are allergic to it.
you can get B 12 ( cobalamin ) from milk. around 500 ml of cow's milk gives daily needs of B 12. milk is good source of
B12.
you can take milk in your daily Tea you drink( i assume) ,if you dont like drinking just milk alone.
There are other causes of low B 12 absorption.
one of the common is in people using PPE ie drugs like pantropazole etc for blocking acid production.
Next Steps
get a full CBC count done, including MCV test.
Drink cows milk , around 250 ml( a glass full milk) of milk a day gives approximately half of daily needs of B 12.( evidence based practice)
Consult a haematologist if you keep getting
B12 deficiency states, to rule out any non dietry cause of B12 def.
hope this helps you.
Thsnks for your query.
