The term "Cognitive impairment" is technically used for entities other than ADHD. However, persons with ADHD have impairment in several Cognitive tasks. The explanation in general can leave you more confused than before and it is sincerely advised to seek clarity in your context with your treating Psychiatrist. Best wishes
