Has your wife undergone routine blood tests? Asymmetric IUGR is most common, if patient is anemic( has less hemoglobin), has inadequate protein intake during second trimester of pregnancy.Let her have more of protein powder with milk, two glasses every day, if you are a nonvegeterian, boiled eggs are a good option.
Next Steps
Let her have frequent small meals because in the last month, due to indigestion, she might avoid eating. Let her keep a watch on baby's movements and keep her stress levels to the minimum, wishing you all the luck👍
Health Tips
If your wife does not feel the baby movements, in 6-8hours, let her report immediately to the local gynecologist

Hi there, Get Doppler scan done if it's not done along with it. It will tell the blood supply of the baby. If it's adequate then nothing to worry about. With good protein diet baby will gain weight.
