My mother aging 47 years fell down on the knee where she is suffering from arthritis. Can this be worst? She can walk though but can there be any fracture?

As she is able to walk there is no fracture. But she must have exaggerated her patellofemoral joint problem which was pre-existing.
Next Steps
do skyline view of both knees to assess the patella malalignment.
