Hi, it seems like your friend has a problem in finding an appropriate coping solution for her anxieties. It's okay if she doesn't want to talk to her family but she definitely needs to go talk about this to a mental health professional like a psychologist/counselor. If the therapies of a counselor don't work then she can be referred to a psychiatrist for drugs prescription to make her symptoms better. But being on her own won't do her any good and there are no home remedies or DIY (do it yourself) techniques that will help her right now. She can practice that after meeting the counselor. Ask you friend to try out just two sessions with a counselor of her choice. I'm sure she will notice some difference. Hope this helps.
