Anti Depressants - Side effects

Hello Doc, I have been on anti anxiety medications since last one year and my weight has increased tremendously. Its 95 kgs now. I am unable to handle it.. and.. i want to lose weight. Is there any alternative available?? Why does these medicines cause so much of Weight gain?? I gained 7 kgs in a span of 3 months. Please advise. I am not happy inside out.

For some they cause weight gain. There are 2 ways to handle this. Switch to anti anxiety medications which have less or propensity for weight gain, but they can have less effect, or add a medicine which neutralises the weight gain side effect of anti anxiety medications already on. Consult any psychiatrist online or in person. Good luck.
