Ankle sprain(eversion)

2017-03-20 11:07:28
I got an injury in my right ankle while playing soccer on 9th october 2016.I continue to play soccer even after that using a crepe bandage on to the ankle, but in december i felt that its too long for an ankle to heal after a sprain.I consulted to an orthopedic,he called for a X-RAY,nothing was found in X-RAY,then he wants me to go for MRI and i went for MRI on 22 feb 2017 and it was found that i got a partial ligament tear (40-50%) in my tibio calcaneal ligament and a minimal injury in my tibio talar ligament and mild effusion in inside bump of my ankle.i have little swelling near the inside bump(medial malleolus) but i feel approximately no pain in walking and running but i feel pain when i shot football from inside part of my right ankle(while i curl the ball or during long passes).so i want to know if i get properly heal or not and how much time will it take and what should i do and what diet i should take and please give me some good tips and i am done with medicines too.

Hi,  dear I know ankle injuries r very tough to handle on pat aspect,  I have seen pat in trouble for more dan 2 yes also,  so first of all don't rush to find out how much tum it will take,  frankly speaking no tym any one can guarantee you,  it can as long as 2 months to 2 yrs,  the key is rest to dat part as long as u can,  with guarded physiotherapy,  but patients u know,,  dey want a crave for getting better as soon as possible.  And den dey land up in dramatic situation.  The ultimate rest in initial 3 months is very imp.  But I know no body is ready to take dat.  And of course first of all plz clear the definition of REST...... Its not about taking leave and sitting at home,  not u require bed rest,  it's all about giving rest to that part,  by modifying ur life style,  dats it,  and some medication....  But now problem is patients itself is half doctors.....  So u know,,,  So still follow all dis and u may be benefitted.
