My father has been diagnosed with triple vessel coronary artery disease.
Right Coronary artery - 90% stenosis
LCX - 70-80%
LAD - 70-80%
He is 66 years of age
He chews tobacco
Ocassional smoker
He has diabetes for which he takes Gemer 1 mg
He also has slightly high blood pressure.
Doctors have suggested surgery. They said both angioplasty and by pass surgery can be done.
I want to know which option would be the best?
It totally depends upon the extent and type of the lesion, your fathers angiography cd needs to be seen so I can give you a better informed opinion. He must quit smoking and chewing tobacco.
