I looked at a tubelight for 20 seconds now i got the positive afterimage for 3 minutes which i can see when i blink and negative after image for a longer times almost twenty minutes or more its visible only when i blink

  Please u should mention your visual status of both eyes.      If vision of eyes are normal then positive & negative images perception after focussing on bright object is usual phenomenon.     It is memory of brain regarding past object perception for longer periods.

It might be because of photosensitivity due to dry eyes. Sudden bright light exposure can cause these symptoms
