I have advanced kerotocaunus and i have been wearing RGP lenses for 18 years bur now my eyes just cant tolerate these lenses, i have also tried rose k but i dint help either. i just cant wear lenses and i dont want to waer as it is making my life worse i wanted to ask about the corneal transplant, is it safe and will my vision get restored

You should try c3R , you should keep keratoplasty last option , because acceptance of cornea from another person is not hundred percent guaranteed because source of cornea is unknown & with so much effort you may not get satisfaction with vision you get after keratoplasty

nowadays other options are available  other than  keratoplasty  which  being the last  option. you are near delhi  where many experienced  cornea surgeons are available  go and consult.

Plz visit Cornea Ophthalmologist for C3 R therapy. Or Keratoplasty is last option.

Hello, In your case of advanced Keratoconus, can suggest you to go for INTACS with C3R. But before that need to get corneal topography for planning. Corneal transplant is last option given when cornea is thinned out with lot of scarring. Transplant has its own disadvantages. Kindly consult good cornea specialist for further management at your place.
