This has become a common phenomenon among adolescent children of this age. Has she been diagnosed with ADHD? If not you can get her assessed for it for confirmation so that a dedicated treatment can be planned. As a parent your approach should not be of ' you should do this, you have to do that...' rather ' what do u think how you should do it? Or do you think this is the right thing to do? At the end of the day we want our kids to be responsible and self-sufficient but that requires training the right way.
Next Steps
kindly get her assessed for ADHD. get in touch with a good counsellor for guidance on behaviour and self related problem.
Health Tips
1. should make a time table a must and follow it. you can monitor it and refine it as per her progress
2. hard work comes from within hence requires lot of practice and passion for the work in hand.
3. divide her work activities in achievable parts so for example if she needs 2 hrs to finish something, let her break the task into half hrs parts...let her have 5 to 10 min break then she can resume the next part. practice this regularly for studies, household work etc.
4. as a parent increase your tolerance ...don't hit your daughter nor scold her criticize her all the time. rather include her in your work..
