Patient needs to undergo Whole body PET/CT scan and some molecular marker studies (EGFR Mutation and ALK Mutation) in order to stage her disease and tell more about the outcome. Various treatment options will be discussed only after staging information is available. Obviously at this age surgery and aggressive chemotherapy will generally not be suitable treatments. If it is early stage disease a highly conformal precise Radiation therapy called as SBRT can be considered. If it is advanced disease she ll be considered for targeted therapy in the form of oral capsules. Her outcome depends upon stage and response of disease to treatment. In general Lung cancer is usually diagnosed in advanced stages and advanced stage disease is not curable.
