There may be varied reasons for left shoulder pain..  But since you had a history of CAD, I think it would be better to rule the cardiac cause first. You should get one ECG and Echocardiogram to know the status of heart functioning. The other causes may be related to soft tissue strain in left shoulder or Adhesive Capsulitis which is very common with Diabetes..
