Achondroplasia - Knock Knees

2024-07-15 08:01:00
My 19-month-old daughter has achondroplasia. Although her milestones are delayed, she is now learning to walk. Recently, I've noticed that when she stands, it appears she has knock knees and she can't straighten her legs. As an orthopedic doctor, what steps should we take to prevent this and ensure she walks properly? Is surgery necessary for this condition? Attached is the photo for reference
