Greetings
The child is currently active, playful, and resting comfortably is a reassuring sign that a significant, highly concentrated volume may not have been absorbed. However, continuous monitoring remains mandatory over the next 24 to 48 hours.
Immediate First Aid Dos and Don'ts
* DO NOT induce vomiting under any circumstances. If the substance is thrown up, it poses a severe risk of entering the lungs (pulmonary aspiration), which can cause serious breathing complications.
* DO NOT perform an un-indicated stomach wash or force large amounts of fluids at home.
* DO rinse the child's mouth out thoroughly with room-temperature water if they are fully awake and alert. Small, cautious sips of water may be offered only if they can swallow normally without coughing.
Critical Red Flag Symptoms
Proceed directly to the nearest emergency department or call emergency services immediately if the child exhibits any of the following signs:
1. Respiratory Distress: Continuous coughing, wheezing, rapid breathing, or stridor (a high-pitched breathing sound).
2. Gastrointestinal Distress: Persistent vomiting, refusal to swallow, excessive drooling, or severe abdominal pain.
3. Neurological Changes: Unusual drowsiness, lethargy, confusion, or difficulty waking up.
Please ensure the exact product container or bottle with you to the hospital so the medical team can verify the concentration and ingredients.
