Acanthosis nigricans is a life long problem. A miniscule percentage may develop malignancy. Treatment is mainly losing weight and some hygiene issues. I suggest you concentrate on treating your basic problem. Don't add another problem.

Yes. There is no literature barring it as such. A lot of diabetics use tattoos to cover the dark patches. Though, You should be careful if the tattooing needle is properly sterilized/new needle is being used as it may transmit other infections. Get a tattoo done only at a place which follows proper sterilization techniques.
