Yes, frequent feeding can be normal, especially in premature babies around term-corrected age. Some babies cluster feed and may wake every 30–60 minutes at times.
There is no fixed feeding duration. If baby feeds effectively for around 10–15 minutes on one breast and seems satisfied, that can be enough. Let baby feed on demand.
More important signs are:
- Good urine output (6–8 times/day)
- Weight gain
- Baby active between feeds
