Hello doctors.. My baby is 6 months old now. She is 32 weeks pre matured baby. 1.5, 2.5 and 3.5 months vaccines are finished. Now want to give her 6 months vaccine. Is 6 months vaccination compulsory to give her? Can we skip this vaccine? We did not give this vaccine to my first child. She was born at 9 months( full term). Can we give vaccine at 9 months?

At 6 month flu vaccine 1st shot and at 7 months 2 nd shot is given and booster every year till 5 years is recommended. Typhoid conjugate vaccine is given anytime between 6-9 months. It’s better not to miss the vaccine with flu cases around and increase in other respiratory illnesses.

Greetings Preterm babies must be vaccinated based on chronological age from birth, not corrected age. At 6 months, essential immunizations like the Influenza and Typhoid Conjugate Vaccine are highly recommended. Skipping these is not advisable because premature infants have a higher risk of severe infections. You should not delay these to 9 months, as doing so leaves her vulnerable now. The 9-month milestone involves a separate, distinct set of immunizations like the MMR vaccine. consult your pediatrician immediately to arrange her timely 6-month vaccination schedule
