Please let me know which is more effective abdominal or laproscopic hysterectomy? I heard that laproscopic is not as effective as abdominal hysterectomy. Is that true? Which one should i choose

There is no question of effectiveness here. Both are equally effective if it's an indicated hysterectomy. Laparoscopy is less invasive and causes less damage with shorter hospital stay and recovery time where as abdominal requires longer duration of wound healing

There are two routes of hysterectomy abdominal and vaginal..In abdominal there are two methods open and laparoscopic. Preferred route if all factors are favouring including surgeon skill, size of uterus, obstetric history of patient is vaginal hysterectomy. If this is not possible due to any reason preferred is laparoscopic surgery as it is key hole surgery so recovery is faster and chances of infection are less. Though it requires a special set up and skill.
