Arthritis is a condition affecting bones and joints characterised by pain, inflammation and stiffness. Symptoms may worsen with age.

Signs and symptoms of arthritis during the its early stages vary based on the type of arthritis. However, pain, swelling, redness and stiffness of the joint are the common symptoms. One may also find difficulty in joint movements and reduced range of motion.

A person cannot prevent this condition, but the following may help reduce the risk: wear protective gears while playing sports to avoid injuries get involved in 30 minutes of physical exercise a day, maintain normal blood sugar levels, maintain your weight in the normal range and use healthy and strong joints while lifting or carrying weight.
