Insomnia is a sleep disorder in which people have difficulty falling or staying asleep. There may also be trouble getting back to sleep or they might wake up very often at night.

Insomnia can be treated by changes in sleeping habits or managing the health conditions which may be causing insomnia. If insomnia is making you feel tired and sleepy during daytime, then the healthcare provider may prescribe some sleeping pills for a few days.
