I have a scaphoid fracture over a month now.I need to do a X-ray.So does the results of x-ray differ if I do it with plaster or without plaster??

Dear Sir, Scaphoid fractures are prone to non union and usually require fixation. However a CT scan is more effective to judge fracture union.

Fiberglass cast is X-ray compatible to quite an extent. Plaster of Paris cast may give a shadow obstructing the clarity
