Xanthelasma is nothing but accumulation of lipids and its indicative of hypercholesterolemia.
Family history of hyperlipidemia and Lipid profile is to verified.
Treatment option available is mainly surgical though even RF cautery or plasma pen can help. It depends on depth and extent of lesion.
