Focal seizure usually has a source, if the semiology is sure I would recommend an MRI And EEG and a through clinical examination of all things are normal and seizure free for 3 years we can taper and stop medications but if any one of three above MRI EEG AND clinical examination is abnormal I would not recommend stopping medication
