Wisdom tooth pain is usually recurrent and leads to inflammation around the teeth called pericoronitis. In such situations it's better to get it extracted.

Wisdom tooth is a complex tooth . We will require X-ray to find its position and root shape; on examination of X-ray we can suggest either removal or you need to wait for it to erupt since you are just 23 years old.
