Wisdom tooth extraction pain

I have done extraction of wisdom tooth,I am a type 1 diabetic since 13 yrs.i m getting swelling after 25 hours of extraction.pls let me know what precautions is needed and when I get recovery medicine are- antibiotics,acuvimin, multivitamin etc. How many hours it takes to relieve from pain and swelling.also what to avoid.

Wisdom tooth extraction is surgical procedure. Healing on tissues resulting in swelling as well as pain. Follow the instructions given by your dentist. Dont skip tablets and oral hygiene protocol.

Ok Stop panicking. I assume your doctor would have put you on appropriate antibiotics and pain killers. Please take those. Start warm saline rinses from 48 hours onwards. The swelling will start reducing from third day. It will take 10-15 days to completely disappear. It's all common.
