Why recipient has no raised heamoglobin

My uncle has cellulitis, edema leg so to bring his extra water content from the leg , a surgery is been made to cut off the deat toh issues called faciotomy, his heamoglobin is 6.5 only. The donors blood was repeated 3units x500ml till now in past 2days. Still his heamoglobin does not raise. Wat is the reason! He is diabetic, also edema leg is infected and has WBC 29.0 , now reduced after antibiotics 25.0 has he has blood infection.

Usually repeat CBP is done after 24-36 hours to check rise in Hb. One unit Usually increases Hb by 1gm/dl so it should rise above ~3gm. It will rise eventually. But getting control over his infection should be main concern.

may be due to severe infection,there is continous destruction of RED BLOOD CELLS,. check LDH,FERRETIN,CRP,ESR
