Why am i getting sharp needle like pain in eye?

I am a 30-year-old woman and I have an infection in the ear. I am too scared to go to the doctor and make a proper diagnosis. Also, I feel it may be just be told off as a normal thing that would just pass in days. I want to know if there are home remedies that can cure ear infections. Are there any?
