A person should seek counseling if they are feeling upset, anxious, or stressed about something. Everybody goes through a period of stress, anxiety, and depression at some point in life. It is hence a positive step to seek counseling. A person should seek counseling if they are being diagnosed with a mental health condition. It is also necessary to seek counseling when a person is feeling anxious and depressed caused by physical illness, lack of job satisfaction, relationship issues, marriage issues, work stress, burnout, adjusting to a new city or country, child issues, exam stress, and so on.
Watch out for these signs that indicate a person needs counseling which is anger issues, change in eating and sleeping habits, change in personality, lack of hygiene, lack of concentration, and using excess alcohol and smoking as a coping mechanism to deal with stress.
Everybody goes through a period of feeling anxious and depressed at some point in life. Counseling is a positive step to feel better.
