The white spots could be just mucous. If there is pain after contact with food, water, could be mild infection and inflammation. Share details,  then I can help you. Regarding Hiv, you are not much at risk, still to clear your doubt, get test done.

Based on the image, the yellowish area appears to be mucus / mild throat inflammation, not a typical HIV-related lesion. 👉 HIV does NOT present as isolated throat yellow patches. HIV symptoms usually include persistent fever, severe sore throat, body pain, rash, lymph node swelling, not symptoms that clear within 1 day with salt-water gargle. Regarding your exposure: Condom break for a few minutes carries very low risk, especially since you immediately changed the condom. The partner’s HIV rapid test at 54 days being negative is a very reassuring sign. About your symptoms: Recurrent throat irritation can occur due to: Acid reflux Post-nasal drip Mouth breathing Smoking / irritation Minor infection The fact that it clears quickly with salt-water gargle strongly suggests non-HIV cause. About HIV risk: Your current symptoms are NOT suggestive of HIV. For complete reassurance, an HIV 4th generation test after 6 weeks–3 months is recommended. Important reassurance: 📌 HIV cannot be diagnosed by throat appearance or images. 📌 Your present findings do not indicate HIV infection.
Next Steps
Please continue good oral hygiene. If anxiety persists, do a confirmatory blood test for peace of mind. If you wish, you may consult for proper guidance and test planning.

I understand why you’re anxious — this does not look like an HIV symptom. From the photo and your history, it’s most likely throat irritation / mild infection or mucus plugs. HIV does NOT present like this. Since exposure was ~70 days ago, symptoms clearing with salt gargles also points away from HIV. Your risk from that brief condom break is low — and partner’s rapid test at day 54 being negative is reassuring.
Next Steps
• Get HIV 4th-gen test once at 6 weeks–3 months for closure • Continue salt gargles + Hexigel/Hexidine • Avoid smoking, alcohol, spicy food for few days • If throat pain/fever persists → ENT review
Health Tips
Stress itself can worsen throat symptoms — try not to panic. If you want proper risk assessment + test timeline explained clearly, you can book a consult with me — happy to guide you step-by-step.
