A pulmonologist prescribed be HRCT chest scanning. Among Chest CT plain and HRCT chest, which scan has more Radition Dose?

Hi. Generally speaking, the exposure from a HRCT is less than a plain CT scan but it depends on the slice thickness in addition to various other technical parameters. However, the radiation exposure with both these scan are far less than the maximum permissable radiation exposure. Hence when medically indicated/advised, it is safe to undergo these tests to establish a diagnosis.
