For more than 10 days i noticed this on my palm. It pains when pressed. Applied some ointment, thinking it as a cut, but no effect on it. Is it due to some insect or any infection? Out-stantioned and travelling now, cannot consult doctor immediately, any helpful info is welcomed, thanks

This is a palmar wart. It is a type of viral infection. As you are having pain as well, I think it might be secondarily infected by bacteria. Do not pick or try to remove it yourself. A Dermatologist can easily get rid of this for you in few minutes by doing electrocauterization. It's not an emergency so do not worry. Visit your Dermatologist when you return from your travels.
