Weaning (Lactation suppression)

My baby boy is one year old. I give him proper meal (solid food) and cow's milk as well. He rarely breastfeed during the day time but he breastfeed almost the whole night. (I think merely for comfort). He often bites my nipple while breastfeeding. So I think it's better to end the breastfeeding phase. Is there any medicine (or any home remedy) to dry up breast milk.

Just stop feeding completely.. Drop one feed at a time and stop the last one over few weeks. No other medicines are needed.. But if you give in to his crying and give again it will form again. Use distractions and be firm Though biting is usually a phase, it passes, if you want you can still continue night feeds for half a year or a year. It depends on your comfort. Put Becosules Tablet powder on your nipples. It is bitter in taste so it discourages breast feeding
