Vitamin D drops for babies!

Is it necessary to give vitamin D drops for babies? My baby is now 3 months old and her PD gave only multi vitamin drop called Zincovit and nothing else. But I have heard several people saying that along with Zincovit, vitamin D drops is also mandatory. Is it so? Should I buy a vitamin D drops and what is the dosage for  a 7.5 kg baby on a daily basis?

Yes it is better to give vitamin D drops till one year of age . 400 IU / day
