Vascular surgery in palm

My brother had gone through a vascular surgery on the his right palm. His three nerves was damaged in an accident. Its been 4 month from the surgery , he is still experiencing numbness in his little finger. Is this normal?? After how much time do you think it will heal completely?

Yes this may happen and this is common during recovery.... 100% recovery is not possible but yes he can have >90% in experienced hand...
