Varicocelectomy pain

I had microsurgical varicocelectomy 5 years back. Around stiches on groin area I still feel pain sometimes like little pulling. At that pain area skin is little hard too because of stiches. On one side there is no pain and it is there on other side. Does surgery cause this pain. My scrotal scan says grade 1 varicocele now. Please advise
