Vaginal yeast or fungal infection

I have been vaginal infection. The symptoms are like itching and cuts , white discharge when involved in sexual activities. The partner panies gets whilte. Sometimes swelling around vagina. Is fungal and yeast infection same.please suggest minimum medicine to cure the problem.

Take tab candithral 200mg twice a day for 3days. Keep  clingen forte pessary for 7days.
