Vaccination during lockdown

My son's 15th month vaccination was due in Apr 2020 but due to lockdown it could not be given. Since then there has been a delay. What is the acceptable delay period allowed & how can the vaccination be given during this period?

Your child's vaccination has already been delayed by a month and since this Covid virus is going to be there with us for long , nobody knows when the lockdown will be completely lifted.  So select a date , get a prior appointment to avoid crowd, and get the child vaccinated at the earliest, taking proper precaution.

Vaccination on time is always the best option. But slight delay for unforeseen circumstances is acceptable.
Next Steps
Contact your Pediatrician and reschedule your appointment ASAP.
Health Tips
All vaccines can be rescheduled keeping in mind the catch up tables and minimum time gap required between different dosage.

Vaccination Should not be postponed, as the situation is going to worsen though the lockdown will be relaxed , MMR is a very important vaccine having role in Corona Prevention indirectly.
Next Steps
Don’t delay anymore but look for the necessary arrangement by your pediatrician.
Health Tips
Need to Call your pediatrician for necessary steps to be taken at clinic by him and you. There should be separate place, separate timing without mixing with other sick patients in clinic, following all the guidelines given by Govt and IAP

All vaccines are for prevention of communicable infectious diseases,  which occur because of contact with infected persons.  At 15 months the vaccines die are for MMR and chickenpox,  the risk for both is negligible in the lockdown period.  Do don't worry,  just wait for conditions to be safe for clinic visit. There will be no loss of immunity once the next dose is received

It is better to get the vaccination done at the earliest since this COVID is going to be here for long.A delay of 2 to 3weeks is acceptable. Avail of nearest health facility.Go out with proper precautions, avoid rush.
