Urinary retention
Had covid with CT severity score 21/25. Medications included Steroids , anti-coagulants , pipzo , vitamins and cough syrup for 1 month.
In the meantime developed urinary retention and urinary tract infection.
Urinary retention since last 15 days. Catheter is inserted at present. Removed catheter twice in the meantime but urinary retention happened again within 8-10 hours . Taking Urimax 0.4 and Urispas once for the last 12 days.
Meanwhile , developed UTI and had 101-102 fever (with chills ) ... Took Levoflox 500 for 8 days.

Any other medications required on the basis of urine culture report??
Till how many days can we keep the patient with catheter inserted ??(because we cannot take the patient anywhere because of weakness )
How long should URIMAX be continued ??
Hello. As per the report you still have uti. If you still have symptoms of Uti like burning sensation or fever then you can get inj amikacin 750mg Im od for 5 days (after checking that your creatinine is normal)
Keep the catheter for 10 days
Continue tab urimax 0.4 mg hs for at least 3 months
Stop urispas
Get usg kub
Catheter removal after 7 days (of taking amikacin and urimax and stoppage of urispas)
