Urinary infection

For the past 5 days, my son's temperature is constantly 101-102 degrees. It all started with a throat pain which developed into cold and cough and then continuous fever. We took him to our nearest pediatrician who prescribed antibiotics. On the fourth day of fever, he suggested blood and urine test for typhoid, Dengue and jaundice. The test results were negative but urine test shows urinary infection. The report says Albumin level as 1+, Pus cells/hpf 5 to 10, epithelial cells 4-6. He has again suggested a different antibiotic. I'm really worried. My son is very tired and is also coughing continuously. Could anyone provide advice on this?

Once oral antibiotics started before test, diagnosis is difficult. Wait for a day, if fever persists get admitted.

Better to start the child on IV injections for speedy recovery, meanwhile send for urine culture and see for the drug sensitivity and also get a USG abdomen scan done to see if there’s any kidney involvement. UTI infections can be very annoying but with proper medications and right amount of course taken it can be completely cured.
Health Tips
Avoid clean the private area in a female child from back to front and instead should be done from front to back , As there are high chances of infections when done from back to front.
