HIV PEP (if within 72 hours) – If there's a risk of HIV exposure, consider Post-Exposure Prophylaxis (PEP). It’s most effective within 72 hours. Consult a doctor immediately use barriers like condom in future to be safe
Next Steps
Basic Hygiene – Wash the genital area with water and mild soap. Urinate to flush out bacteria.
Health Tips
No Symptoms Yet? Still Get Tested – Many STDs don’t show symptoms immediately.

**Dear Patient,**  Your concern about potential STDs after unprotected intercourse is valid, even in the absence of immediate symptoms. Many sexually transmitted infections (STIs), including HIV, syphilis, hepatitis B, and chlamydia, can remain asymptomatic initially but cause serious complications if untreated.  **Recommended Action Plan:**  1. **Immediate Steps:**     - **Post-Exposure Prophylaxis (PEP) for HIV:** If exposure occurred within the last 72 hours, starting PEP can significantly reduce HIV transmission risk. Time is critical here.     - **Emergency Contraception:** If pregnancy is a concern, consider emergency contraception (if applicable).  2. **Testing Schedule:**     - **Now:** Baseline tests for HIV, hepatitis B/C, syphilis, and other STIs (urine/test swabs).     - **Follow-up:** Repeat testing at 2-4 weeks and again at 3 months for conclusive results (e.g., HIV window period).  3. **Do NOT Wait for Symptoms:**     - STIs like HPV or chlamydia often show no early signs but can lead to long-term health issues (infertility, cancer, etc.).  **Consultation Required:**  I strongly advise an **urgent in-person or video consultation** to:  - Assess your risk level.  - Prescribe PEP if eligible.  - Order targeted tests and provide preventive guidance.  **For immediate assistance, contact me on WhatsApp at "Eight Zero Zero Nine Eight Two One Three Three Two"
